Children’s & Maternity Consignment
Tips for Successful Consigning.
We welcome your Quality, next-to-new Children’s & Maternity fashions (Preemie to sz 6) as well as Baby Gear, Furniture, Books, Dance Wear and Toys. All clothing should be recent* and desirable.
Once your clothing is freshly laundered and pressed. Take a few moments and put them on plastic hangers or fold them neatly. As you do this, check each item to ensure that all buttons, snaps or ties are present and that zippers are working. Pants should be checked for wear and fading of the knees and all items checked to ensure that all seams and hems are intact. Pants or dresses with hemlines won’t sell. Exclude any clothing that is stained, frayed, worn looking or no longer in style. Experience tells us that 90% of all clothes we sell are brand names and very recent* fashions. Adult clothing, other than Quality, recent* Maternity Wear will not be accepted. Should you have adult sizes, we can give you a listing of adult Consignment Stores.
Clothing arriving on hangers are easy to accept and quick to process. Sorry, we cannot provide you with space to sort and hang your clothes at the store. Plastic hangers work best for us and can be picked up, free-of-charge, at many stores. (Zellers, Walmart, Disney Store)
Toys: Take a few minutes and wash your toys- the colours will be brighter and much more appealing. Include instructions. Check puzzles and toys to ensure all pieces are present and
in good condition. Broken or damaged toys will not be accepted. We prefer to not accept McDonald’s or similar toys, they go into our 'take one' bin'. We can only accept New Stuffed animals. Well loved stuffies, do not sell.
Shoes & Boots: Must be new looking, clean & stylish. Check the heels inside and out for signs of wear. Scuffed toes do not sell. Polish your shoes first, it works wonders.
Baby Gear: Must be clean and in good condition. Cribs, strollers, car seats and play pens Must meet C.S.A standards. Include all parts as well as any information you may have received with your item.
Cribs and car seats Must have All stickers on the item.
Need to be washed and presentable.
Cribs- must have been manufactured after Fall 1986.
Car seats/boosters- must be less than 5 years old. Never been in an accident. Must have CSA sticker showing make, model, date of manufacture as well as the instruction book. Replacement books can be obtained on-line. With all the recalls, please contact the manufacture to check on any recalls. Include all replacement parts with item.
Taking a few extra minutes now will increase the likely hood of your items selling quickly and reduce the amount of time required to prepare them for sale. Please include your name and account number on at least 1 (one) item in each bundle for easy identification and speedy drop off. The maximum number of items we will accept at any time is 30 but feel free to drop off more in a week or so. Please do not drop off after 4:45pm unless previously arranged.
Items that are not acceptable for sale will be sent to charity one (1) week after you have been called.

Lullaby Lane will make every effort to sell your items within Three (3) months of the date that the items are put on the floor for sale.
All items Consigned must remain on our sales floor for at least Three (3) months. Any items requested back during the initial Three (3) months are subjected to a 10% service charge per item.
Prices are set by Lullaby Lane.
Account balances may be taken in cash, by cheque or applied towards in-store purchases at any time.
At the end of each Five (5) month period, unsold items will either be returned to you or forwarded to charity as indicated by you below. Please initial the appropriate choice.
1) Forward all unsold and unaccepted items to Charity and receive 40% of the finial selling price for sold items. ___________________________________________
2) Return all unsold and unaccepted items to me and receive 30% of the finial selling price for sold items. ____________________________________________
It’s the client’s responsibility to pick up unsold/returned items and account balance from Lullaby Lane.
Any unclaimed merchandise becomes the propriety of : Lullaby Lane Children’s & Maternity Consignment, if not picked up within One (1) week of the expiration date. All monies not claimed after One (1) year of expiration date will become the propriety of Lullaby Lane.
Lullaby Lane will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen merchandise.
Items priced under $10.00 will not be returned.
